Lord Bass returned to his monthly residency at the Red Door in Portsmouth, NH this past weekend for a big Memorial Day opener, this time for DFA Records artist The Juan Maclean.
Juan’s second visit to the city’s lounge brought loads of grooves on an all-vinyl set, rumbling the floor to a deep simmer. Lord Bass happily used 0s and 1s to bring the tunes, starting very chill with Boards of Canada, ending over two hours later with Gui Boratto. Juan’s set is a Trance Lab-exclusive that’s not available anywhere else.

WUNH djs Olik from Berlin and Gets provided big beats at this past weekend’s second annual Hi-Fi* Music Festival in Durham, NH. WUNH alum Lord Bass and headliner The Juan Maclean finished out the order. After a long water soaked afternoon, the evening turned cool and the beats heated up.

This Saturday brings the second annual UNH Hi-Fi Music Festival, 12 hours of live and mixed music from local bands and djs at the UNH campus in Durham, NH. Trance Lab host Lord Bass is billed to open for event headliner The Juan Maclean of DFA Records.
The event features live, local bands from 12 noon to 8pm, and a dj dance party from 8p to 12 midnight. Held outdoors on the Thompson Hall lawn on the center of the UNH campus, the event will feature a 16×20 covered stage, lighting, and massive sound. The events is very unique on the New Hampshire seacoast, and will be the only to feature a modern, prominent DJ such as The Juan Maclean.
