I’m sure you guys must have already heard about J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar’s pending joint album, on which Kendrick say J. Cole will be doing most of the production for. The thought of hearing these 2 young lyrical titans on a whole album together is very intriguing.
Usually I would say no to something like that because being a great lyricist doesn’t actually mean your good at making music, in fact it’s almost always the opposite.
This is not the case with Kendrick Lamar vs J. Cole, these two have a nice track record of putting together dope songs, both of whom already have hit records.
The question that remains, is who would rain supreme on this album?
We caught up with Kendrick Lamar at the Bonnaroo Music Festival 2012 to discuss “The Recipe” video with Dr. Dre, touring with Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller, his upcoming album, and collaborating with J. Cole.
J. Cole took to Twitter last night to announce his debut album title and also provided a release date. It will be called Cole World: The Sideline Story is due out September 27th.
