Hall Of Fame Sorry For ‘Inadvertent’ Guns N’ Roses Tweet
The ‘classic’ Guns N’ Roses line-up might be playing live at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame after all. A tweet by Hall Of Fame induction ceremony musical director Paul Shaffer that said Guns “will not be performing” at the event has now been confirmed as bogus.
We suspected as much when we first reported this story last Friday (March 9).
Now, a Hall Of Fame spokesperson has revealed that, although the post came from Shaffer’s account, the musical director himself was not directly responsible for the tweet:
“Please know this tweet did not come from Mr Shaffer, as his Twitter account is in conjunction with his syndicated radio feature with our network, and all tweets are handled by one of our staff members. No one is exactly sure what will happen at the induction ceremony, and we apologise for the inadvertent tweet.”
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony takes place in Cleveland on April 14.
