Earlier this week we saw Jay-Z in the studio with Raekwon, and today we find him exploring the studio space with Drake. Drake tweeted “Warning: Please be very afraid of the music we’re working on. OVO x ROCNATION”. No word on which album the tracks were meant for – Jay’s, Drake’s, or both.

Of course President Obama has to stay clear of the fuckry, but we all know he and Jay-Z are homies, and the “Open Letter” track is doing exactly what it’s supposed to…Getting attention.
It’s like the president says, he’s got better things to do.

As you may already be aware, Jay-Z will embarking on his latest venture as a sports agent with Roc Nation Sports.
This has resulted in Jay-Z now relinquishing his stake in the Brooklyn Nets.
In a quick letter, Shawn Carter wishes the team the best of luck in the playoffs:
“Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions. It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I’m a Brooklyn Net forever. It’s been an honor to work with Mikhail Prokhorov, Dmitry Razumov, Christophe Charlier, ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment, Brett Yormark and all the wonderful people involved in making the Nets first class. My sincerest thanks goes to Bruce Ratner, who first introduced the idea of moving the Nets to Brooklyn. A thank you and deepest appreciation goes to the fans. You are the lifeblood of any team.
The Nets have made their mark on the NBA and as they enter a new era, Roc Nation does as well; as we embark on Roc Nation Sports. Our newest endeavor is committed to building the brands of professional athletes as we have done for some of today’s top music artists. For Roc Nation Sports to function at its full potential, NBA rules stipulate that I relinquish my ownership in the Brooklyn Nets. It was a tough decision but as I stated earlier, it’s not about ownership. Congratulations to The Nets on a great season and making the playoffs! I will always be a Brooklyn Net.”
Beyonce ain’t about that Rihanna life, and she has voiced her opinion on the matter.
She warns her husband Jay-Z to keep his distance from his protégée Rihanna.
A source close to the couple says, Beyonce has told Jay that she’s terrified RiRi is beyond saving, she believes her behavior is spiraling out of control with no end in sight.
This is following the fact that Rihanna had one of her wild weekends, which included vomiting in a club, sending good luck messages to abusive ex Chris Brown and Tweeting a picture of herself with a female freaky dancer.
Sounds like a good weekend to me…But hey I’m just a blogger, what do I know.
A source close to Beyoncé, 31, says:
‘She’s told Jay that Ri-Ri’s beyond hope and just isn’t their problem. ‘This drama has been going on for so long and people get hurt because she won’t grow up.’ The source continued, ‘Bey wants Jay to keeps his distance.’
Rihanna has been pushing the Young Wild & Free motto to it’s limit, on September 20th she Tweeted a picture of herself with a stripper between her legs.
Again, sounds like a good night to me…lol
The next night she arrived late on stage at the highly anticipated Las Vegas iHeart Radio festival, for which she was one of the main headliners. She only performed for 30 minutes then dipped out to he 1Oak nightclub, where club goers saw her ‘vomiting into a napkin’.
A source reports that she partied with skippers until the crack of dawn. The source adds: ‘She’s been at Spearmint Rhino strip club every night, visiting private booths to get hot and heavy with girls.’
In addition to that Rihanna also sparked some Twitter controversy, when she wished her ex Chris Brown good luck at a court appearance, after he was caught with weed while still on probation for his attack on her.
She even said she would back him up when he appears in court next month for another probation hearing.
She’s not out of control, she’s just being Rihanna. When she develops a drug habbit, suffers from anorexia and talking pure fuckry in every interview then they’ll be a real need for concern.
If we’re talking music lets keep it real, Rihanna has had the game on lock for the past 3 years and Beyonce though a international superstar hasn’t been able to touch RiRi on the charts for quite some time now.
And if you haven’t heard Diamonds yet, that will only prove that Rihanna is still getting better.

Nas Talks “Life Is Good,” Wanting Eminem and Jay-Z for “Daughters (Remix),” That Would Have Been Dope
Nas’ highly anticipated album “Life Is Good” officially released on Tuesday and the rap veteran has been steadily speaking on many aspects of his 10th studio album. In one of his recent interviews, he once again touched on the significance of Kelis’ wedding dress on the album cover and explained airing out his personal issues on the album.
“It just came naturally. It really bothered me because we are in the Internet age. There was no way to avoid everything that was out there. To me that’s what shaped this album. I couldn’t escape all the stuff about my marriage or questions about [my finances]. So my answer was putting Kelis’ green wedding dress on the album cover. The music and the reality of my life go hand-in-hand. Life is poetry and that’s what this new album is. I haven’t had a record out in a long time. This is the way I got it all off of my chest.”
The Queensbridge native then expressed his willingness to work with fellow rap veterans Jay-Z and Eminem on a possible remix to his track “Daughters”. He explains why it didn’t work out.
“One of the only other rappers I thought about was AZ. And I wanted Eminem for a remix for “Daughters,” but he had already expressed that he’s spoken so much about his daughter throughout his career that he had done that subject too much. And me and Jay-Z talked about doing some things, but our schedules were so crazy.”
Would you have liked to hear a remix to Nas’ already controversial track “Daughters”?

Jay-Z, Dream Hampton, and Random House, are all involved in a lawsuit that has been filed by a man named Patrick White, who claims that Jay-Z’s 2010 release of his book Decoded, contains various parts of his original work which was stolen from him. Apparently Mr. White’s laptop was stolen from him in 2009 which contained his original writings which he says are used in Jay-Z’s Decoded.
“In 2009, my personal computer was compromised, resulting in my personal work to be used in Jay-Z’s book Decoded which was released in 2010. Jay-Z’s book contains various expressions/colors/phrases, which correlates to my work. After contacting or attempting to contact the co-author, I got no reply.”
Mr. White is suing Jay, Dream Hampton, and Random House for copyright infringement and invasion of privacy. This lawsuit was officially filed on June 13th, so it will be some time before we hear any outcome legal outcome on this case.

Jay-Z took offense to Baby aka Birdman’s earlier comments a few months back when he said that MTV naming Jay as the best rapper was a fluke.
“I don’t think he a number one emcee in no kinda way,” Baby said “Wayne the best he do the most and he make the most money. I don’t think no n*gga in the business make more money than us. How could you be the best if you don’t make the best money, the most money and you don’t do the most. Lyrically, come on man be for real man can’t nobody f*ck with Wayne. And to me, if you number one and you ain’t getting no money it don’t mean nothing. Who’s making the most money. That’s number one to me.”
“F*ck all that rap sh*t,” he continued. “Sh*t, y’all got cold rappers you never even heard and then you got n*ggas who really can’t rap and making money. It’s about who’s making the most money to me. I don’t give a f*ck about the rest of that sh*t.”
He continues, “No, no, [beef]. Nothing personal, they just asked me my opinion and that was my opinion. I think we do the most and make the most, so if you don’t like it, that’s on you. I can’t see past Wayne, so I can’t see Jay-Z.”
That was in August of 2010. Jay retorted on he and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne single, “H.A.M.” with this thinly veiled dis line back at Birdman.
“Niggas fantasize about the shit that I do daily / Like these rappers rap about all the shit that I do really / I’m like really, half a billi, nigga? / Really you got baby money / Keep it real with niggas, niggas ain’t got my lady money / Watch the throne, don’t step on our road / Bad enough we let you step on our globe…”
Birdman posted the above tweet in response last night. Who knows where this will go next…..
